That is, the tracks at the old overground station, which closed on the 17th of this month after railway services moved to underground tunnels. I brought my whole family along to take a look, and feel for ourselves what it’s like to be down on the tracks. The old railway that served Tainan residents for more than half a century has finally retired from service. Many are sad to see it go. Crowds flocked to the old station to snap up beautiful memories, while getting an instant social media hit photo with the tangerines on the train tracks.
