WBSC世界盃U12少棒錦標賽明天開打，臺南市長黃偉哲邀全臺球迷來臺南為球員加油打氣 「2025第八屆WBSC世界盃少棒錦標賽」（WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025）將於7月25日至8月3日，在臺南亞太國際棒球訓練中心的主、副球場盛大登場。臺南市政府今（24）日於臺南歸仁文化中心演藝廳舉辦開賽記者會，臺南市長黃偉哲親自出席，熱情歡迎來自全球12支國家代表隊齊聚臺南。 臺南市長黃偉哲表示，臺南以最周全的準備迎接各國隊伍的到來，期盼球員在賽場上盡情發揮，也邀請選手及隨隊人員於賽事之餘，遊覽名勝、品嚐在地美食，感受臺南的魅力。臺灣至今共舉辦八屆U-12世界盃賽事，其中有七屆由臺南主辦，係由賴清德總統擔任市長期間爭取而來，而且今年除了U-12賽事外，臺南市亦將於8月主辦U-15亞洲青少棒錦標賽，為首次在同一年舉辦二場國際賽事，顯見市府推動臺南成為棒球之都的努力已見具體成果。 今年賽會期間，臺南市共有12所學校參與接待工作。對此，黃偉哲期盼學生與接待團隊圓滿完成任務，讓各國代表隊在競賽之餘，也能結交朋友、留下美好回憶。最後他祝福賽事圓滿成功，並期勉代表隊員全力以赴，將冠軍金盃留在臺灣，為國爭光。 臺南市體育局表示，自2015年起，臺南市已六度承辦WBSC U12世界盃少棒錦標賽，並已確定接續主辦2027年的U12賽事。為提供全國球迷最優質的觀賽體驗，臺南市體育局在此屆賽事前已多次場勘，全面檢視場地設施與安全規格，以確保符合國際標準。誠摯邀請全國球迷前來臺南，共同參與這場國際級棒球盛會。 最後，臺南市政府表示，誠摯邀請全國球迷進場應援，一同到亞太國際棒球訓練中心挺主場、為少棒小將加油打氣。本屆賽事共有臺灣、美國、墨西哥、多明尼加、巴拿馬、德國、捷克、日本、韓國、南非、澳洲及古巴等12支國家代表隊參賽，競爭激烈、看點十足。其中開幕戰將於7月25日晚間6點30分登場，由地主中華隊迎戰古巴隊。 The WBSC World Cup U-12 Little League Baseball Championship will start tomorrow.
